Dewey is the proud Pastor of the historic Mt. Bright Missionary Baptist Church in Hillsborough, North Carolina.  Dewey serves this congregation at the direction and blessing of God and with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Dewey has been preaching since he was a teenager and has served in the church his entire adult life.  Dewey is known as a preacher, teacher, counselor, administrator, singer, and group leader.  Dewey loves the church because in all of it’s good and bad it is God’s planned community to give God glory.

Dewey’s ministry is centered around the preached word because it is the power of God to salvation.  Dewey holds that the proclamation of the gospel message is central to what the believing worshipper needs and to what preachers long to do.
